การฝึกทักษะการฟังภาษาอังกฤษด้วยตนเองผ่าน Google Apps Self-study English Listening Practice through Google Apps

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการฝึกทักษะการฟังภาษาอังกฤษด้วยตนเองผ่าน Google Apps รวมถึง การศึกษาทัศนคติและความคิดเห็นในการใช้ Google Apps เป็นสื่อในการฝึกทักษะการฟังภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ในการศึ กษาการฝึ กทั กษะการฟั งภาษาอั งกฤษด้ วยตนเองผ่าน Google Apps ได้ แก่ นั กศึ กษาชั้ นปี ที่1 มหาวิ ทยาลั ยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์ลำปาง ที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนในรายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษในปีการศึกษา 2560 จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 33 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) แบบทดสอบการฟังก่อนและหลังการฝึกทักษะฟัง 2) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นในการใช้สื่อ Google Apps เพื่อฝึกทักษะ การฟังภาษาอังกฤษด้วยตนเอง 3) แบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ส่วนข้อมูลที่ได้จากการวิจัยได้นำมาทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหา ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่ามัชฌิชเลขคณิต การทดสอบค่า t-test และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาจากบทสัมภาษณ์ (Content Analysis) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า คะแนนเฉลี่ยก่อนและหลังการฝึกทักษะฟังของกลุ่มตัวอย่างมีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ 0.05 โดย คะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังการฝึกทักษะฟังสูงกว่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยก่อนการฝึก นอกจากนั้น กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ยังมีความเห็นว่า Google Apps มีความเหมาะสมมากที่สุดในการเป็นช่องทางเพื่อฝึกพัฒนาทักษะการฟังภาษาอังกฤษด้วยตนเอง อย่างไรก็ตาม ผลการวิจัยพบ ว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่างมีปัญหาบางประการในการฝึกทักษะการฟังด้วยตนเองผ่าน Google Apps ได้แก่ ความรู้พื้นฐานด้านภาษา ไวยากรณ์ ตลอดจนความเร็วและสำเนียงการพูดของเจ้าของภาษา

The purposes of this research were to study the effects of self-study listening practice through Google Apps on Thammasat students and their attitudes towards the use of this practice. The participants in this research were 33 first-year students enrolled in English courses at Thammasat University, Lampang Campus. The research instruments were 1) English Listening Comprehension Test (pre-test and post-test), 2) A questionnaire asking about students’ attitudes towards self-study listening practice through Google Apps, and 3) In-depth interview. The quantitative data were analyzed by mean of percent, arithmetic means, standard deviation and t-test and the data from an interview were analyzed by content analysis. The findings showed that the English listening abilities of the students after practicing listening through Google Apps was higher than their prior listening abilities at the 0.05 level of significance. In addition, the students agreed that Google Apps was one of the media which was most appropriate for self-study listening skill practice. However, it was revealed that the participants had some problems in practicing listening skill due to their basic knowledge of English and grammar and the speed and accent of native speakers in speaking English.
