Development of Management Model in the Production Line for Supervisor for Productivity Improvement in the Electronic Components Industries
Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to analyze the essential components for the production line management for productivity improvement in the electronic components industry, 2) to develop the management model for productivity improvement in the production line in the electronic components industry, and 3) to develop the application manual for productivity improvement in the production line. The participants and samples were a president, a manager, and a supervisor in the production line in a medium electronic components industry by 74 companies, 2 persons/company total 142 persons. The study was mixed with both qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis. The quantitative data was analyzed by using computer to calculate frequency, percentage, and standard deviation. The results showed that 1) There were three factors of the model consist of (1) Management Process (Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling), (2) Core Process (Preparation, Machine Adjustment, Production, Quality Control, Packing and Storage), and (3) Support Process (Human Resource Development, Continuous Improvement, Document and Data Control, Maintenance, Information Technology), 2) After the model was evaluated and developed by the experts, it was found that the model was in the highest level., 3) After the manual was evaluated and developed by the experts, it was found that the manual was in the highest level. Then the researcher used the manual for training the supervisors, the results showed that the supervisors could apply the knowledge from the manual to manage the electronics production line in high level.
