Compliance Enhancement in Educational Organization

Abstract


The objectives of this research were to study 1) identify the components of subordinate’s compliance in educational organization, and 2) the guidelines for enhancing subordinate’s compliance in educational organization. This thesis was designed as a mixed methodology based on qualitative and quantitative research. The research was comprised of procedures as follows; 1) identifying causal components towards subordinate’s compliance in educational organization, and 2) determining guidelines for enhancing subordinate’s compliance in educational organization. The research instruments were semi-structured interviews, opinionnaire, and checklist form. The samples were 188 secondary schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission. The respondents included school directors, deputy school directors or heads of subject department and teacher from each school, as a total of 564 respondents. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and Exploratory Factor Analysis. The findings of the research revealed as follows; 1) There were 7 components of subordinate’s compliance in educational organization were found namely organization of cooperation, subordinate’s organizational commitment, administrator trait, transformational leadership, practical policy, fringe benefit, and coercion. 2) The guidelines for enhancing subordinate’s compliance in educational organization were comprised of 288 items which were respectively classified by components as follows; 54 items for organization cooperation, 48 items for subordinate’s organizational commitment, 39 items for administrator trait, 33 items for transformational leadership, 21 items for practical policy, 18 items for fringe benefit, and 15 items for coercion.
