Development of Training Program for Industrial Profession Subject Administration to Enhance Analytical Thinking with WebQuest
Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop and evaluate the training program model for industrial profession subject to enhance analytical thinking with WebQuest, and 2) to develop and evaluate the efficiency of the training program model for industrial profession subject to enhance analytical thinking with WebQuest. The target group for evaluating the developed training program consisted of specialists and the teachers in the field of Industrial Technician under the Office of Vocational Education Commission. The results can be concluded as follows: 1) The results revealed that the synthesized model consists of 5 modules i.e., (1) Principles, concepts and theory of WebQuest components, (2) components of instructional package, (3) WebQuest components, (4) Principles, concepts, and how to create a test of analytical thinking, and 5) CIPP evaluation. The results of model evaluation by experts revealed that at a high on appropriateness that the higher than the set criterion on defined hypothesis. 2) The efficiency of the training program for industrial profession subject to enhance analytical thinking with WebQuest consists of 8 topics. Each topic comprised of behavioral objective, contents, activities, teaching medias, and test. The efficiency evaluation was conducted through CIPP Model, (1) the context factor was the most appropriateness level. (2) The input factor also showed high congruency in all aspect. (3) The process evaluation derived from the implementation of the developed training program showed high achievement on the theoretical part at 83.52/84.70, and the practical part was 84.16, higher than the set criteria. (4) The product evaluation evaluated by superiors and the students of the target group (trainees) came out at high level. The achievement of the students learning with WebQuest showed that the higher analytical thinking value before learning at the statistical significance .05 level. According to the results above, it can be concluded that this training program for industrial profession subject to enhance analytical with WebQuest reaches the set criteria showing that the developed training course can be implemented in the real situation.
