Development of Application for Computer Tablet on Addition with Secrets of Mental Math Techniques to Enhance Fast Mathematics Calculation Skill of Prathomsuksa 6 Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to development of Application for Computer Tablet on Addition with Secrets of Mental Math Techniques to Enhance Fast Mathematics Calculation Skill of Prathomsuksa 6 Students. at the quality that was at good level and efficiency 80/80 criteria, 2) to compare the pretest scores with posttest score after learning from Application for Computer Tablet. 3) to study the students Fast Calculation Skill on the Development of Application for Computer Tablet, and 4) to study the students satisfaction on the Development of Application for Computer Tablet. The sample group in this research were 30 the sixth grade students at Kingpat School in the second semester of the 2014 academic year. The student were selected by cluster sampling technique. The research tools utilized in this study were (1) Development of Application for Computer Tablet on Addition (2) Assessment of quality for Application (3) Evaluation form pretest – posttest (4) Fast Calculation Skills Assessment test, and (5) Questionnaire of satisfaction. Data were analyzed by percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, and t - test.The research results were 1) the efficiency of Application for Computer Tablet on Addition with Secrets of Mental Math Techniques to Enhance Fast Mathematics Calculation Skill of Prathomsuksa 6 Students was at 80/80 according to the criteria, 2) the students’ post-test scores after studying through of Application for Computer Tablet Instruction were statistically significant higher than the students pre-test scores at .05 level, 3) the students’ post-test Fast Calculation Skills Assessment test after studying through Application for Computer Tablet were statistically significant higher than the students’ pre-test scores at .05 level, and 4) the students’ satisfaction on developed of Application for Computer Tablet was at the highest level (xˉ = 4.52)
