Development of Model\, System\, and Teacher Training Curriculum by Knowledge Management for Teaching Support on Project Subject

Abstract


The purposes of this research and development were to : 1) develop and evaluate knowledge management model for development of teaching project subject 2) develop and evaluate knowledge management system for teaching support on project subject 3) develop and evaluate efficiency teacher training curriculum by developing knowledge management system for teaching support on project subject. The research findings were as follows.1) knowledge management model consists of 3 modules : 1) feature of the project teachers module, 2 ) extractation of knowledge in teaching project subject module and, 3) core competence from teaching project subject module. The appropriateness knowledge management model evaluated by 9 experts was at very good level. 2) knowledge management system consists of 2 parts : The first part was developed by Wordpress Program which consists of 3 sub - systems : 1) the system that administrator can write the article and manage all knowledge, 2) the system that member can write the article authorized by administrator, 3) the users part that member could view the content. Part 2 : A tacit knowledge about core competence was transfered through knowledge management system. The appropriateness of the knowledge management system evaluated by 5 experts was at very good level, 3) The training curriculum consists of 4 training units. The 2 day training course (12 hours) with face – to - face and through knowledge management system was used. The appropriateness of the training curriculum was at very good level. The efficiency was 84.94/ 81.78, the practical efficiency was 83.42,and 4) To Project evaluation the training curriculum , Kirkpatrick Model was applied with the results as follows : (1) Reaction evaluation that : the trainees’ satisfaction towards knowledge management system, training facilitator, training curriculum, were at good level, very good level, and good level respectively, (2) Learning evaluation : the effectiveness index of the training curriculum was rated of 0.6412, and (3) Behavior evaluation : the opinions of the deputy director for academic affairs, heads of department, colleagues and students toward trainees were at good level, (4) Results evaluation : the trainees could apply knowledge and skills obtained from the training to guide students to fabricate 65 products, 14 of which won awards.
