The Supervision for Instructional Capacity Development of the English Teacher

Abstract


The purposes of this research were 1) to identify factors of supervision for instructional capacity development of the English teacher, 2) to confirm supervision for instructional capacity development of the English teacher factors. The samples of this study consisted of 127 Primary Educational service area office. The respondents from each Primary Educational service area office were a director of supervisor, English Supervisor, school director and English Teacher, with a total of 508 persons. The research instruments were In-depth interview form and opinionnaires. The statistics for analyzing the data were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, exploratory factor analysis and frequency, percentage and content analysis for confirm factors. The research findings were as follows 1) The factors of supervision for instructional capacity development of the English teacher consisted of 8 factors; (1) English teaching skill development (2) Integration of the English teacher collaboration (3) Application of various supervision techniques 4) Encouragement of good English teaching attitude (5) Development of good qualification of English teacher (6) Encouragement of planning in managing of learning English (7) Management of encouragement of English teachers and 8) Building up relationship and agreement among Supervisor. 2) The factors of supervision for instructional capacity development of the English teacher were appropriate, possible, useful and accurate.
