The Development of Modified Jigsaw Technique Training Course for Trainers on Teaching Management Model for Bachelor Degree in Technology under Cooperation between Educational Institutes and Enterprises
Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop and assess the appropriateness of training course for trainers on teaching management model for bachelor degree in technologyฯ and 2) to develop and assess the efficiency of the training course for trainers on teaching management model for bachelor degree in technologyฯ. The target group for data collection of this research included 20 technology teachers with at least 1- year teaching experience or responsible for the heads of department. The results of this research can be concluded below. 1) The assessment of the appropriateness of the Modified Jigsaw Technique training course for trainers on teaching management model for bachelor degree in technology under the cooperation between educational institutes and enterprises rated by the experts revealed very high level. 2) The training program on the Modified Jigsaw Technique training course for trainers on teaching management model consisted of handbook and teaching plan which were validated through CIPP Model with the results as follows: 2.1) For context evaluation: the experts rated the appropriateness and the congruence between the training topics and training objectives at high level in overall topics. 2.2) For input evaluation: it was found that the appropriateness of the training course was very high level. The topics, contents, test, teaching media, and teaching methods were congruent with the behavioral objectives in every aspect. Moreover, the results of the trial step revealed the achievement score on theoretical part at 85.96/84.94 while the score in practical part was 81.64.and 2.3) For process evaluation: it was found that the training program achieved the theoretical efficiency at 89.04/85.02 and the practical part gained 88.58. Moreover, the trainees reported their opinions about the appropriateness of the training program on the teaching plan, training ability, and teaching handbook at high level. 2.4) For product evaluation: it was reported that the superiors of technical colleges rated the appropriateness of the utilization of knowledge and skills from the training programme at high level. The students were instructed by the trained teachers rated the appropriateness of the model at high level as well.
