The Model Leadership of Manufacturing Supervisory Level in Automotive Industry Business

Abstract


This research aims to 1) study the current situation in operation and essential elements of the model leadership being first line management or supervisor 2) Develop a model leadership of supervisory level in manufacturing of automotive industry business and 3) Create a user manual for using in model leadership of supervisory level of automotive industrial business. The participants of this research consist of 21,880 employees of automotive industry in manufacturing from 104 companies. The sample is 441 employees. That are quantitative research and qualitative research and the research data brought from interview and questionnaire then analyze the data are Mean, Standard Deviation and Multiple Regression Analysis in SPSS software with relation factors that affect the leadership. The relationship of the key factors that affect the success of the development of leadership model. The results showed that 1) from main factor of 3 elements found that in the important of main factor were at a moderate level (  = 3.42) and when considering each aspect, found that one aspect at a high level was knowledge (  = 3.64) and the following aspects in moderate levels include; skill (  = 3.38), and the attribute (  = 3.23) respectively 2) the development of production leadership of supervisor was the most appropriate factor belongs in the highest level (  = 4.73), and 3) the creation of user manual of leadership model with the possibility of application
