Factors Affected to the Choice of Admission to Bachelor of Technology Program in Aviation Pilot\, Aviation Institute\, Rangsit University
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to : 1) Study the importance of factors affected to the choice of admission to Bachelor of Technology Program in Aviation Pilot, AviationInstitute, Rangsit University and 2) Study the states and problems of Technology Program in Aviation Pilot, Aviation Institute, Rangsit University. The sample groups by purposive sampling of this study were: (1) 10 executive managers of Orient Thai (three peoples), Thai Lion Air (four peoples) and New Gen Airlines (three peoples) who have graduated from Technology Program in Aviation Pilot, Aviation Institute, Rangsit University and (2) 300 students from first (one hundred and sixteens), second (sixty– six), third (sixty –seven) and forth year (fifty- one) of Technology Program in Aviation Pilot, Aviation Institute, Rangsit University. The research tools used in this research were questionnaire and interview form. The data were analysed by using statistics including percentage, mean and standard deviation. Tested the differences by using T-test and F-test, and the relation was tested by Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient. The research results showed that 1) there are 5 factors affecting the choice of admission to Bachelor of Technology Program in Aviation Pilot, Aviation Institute, Rangsit University which are personnel, physical, motives, and financial factors and 2) Regarding on the studies of states and problems of Technology Program in Aviation Pilot, Aviation Institute, Rangsit University from In-depth Interview with airline executives from 3 airlines indicated that pilot, who have graduated from Technology Program in Aviation Pilot, Aviation Institute, Rangsit University, are highly suitable with commercial pilot profession. Pilot are having full competency that required by airlines in the sense of perspective towards work, knowledge, abilities, and languages performance skill.
