The Development of Instructional Model of Learning Community to Enhance Creative Thinking and Teamwork for Undergraduate Students
Abstract
The purpose of this research were 1) to develop the instructional model of learning community to enhance creative thinking and teamwork for undergraduate students and 2) to study creative thinking, teamwork and achievement of undergraduate students through the instructional model of learning community. The research tool was the instructional model of learning community. The samples were the students of Kasetsart University who learned in the course of Mathematics and Computer in everyday life in the second semester of academic year 2015. The experiment was conducted from 30 students from experimental group and 30 students from control group. Data were analyzed through mean, standard deviation (S.D.) and t-test. The results revealed that : 1) the instructional model of learning was at a highest level and consisted of (1) the input comprised community, learning, social presence and technology (2) the learning community process comprised selective community, focus learning, brainstorm, invention, wrap up and feedback and sharing (3) the learning outcomes comprised creative thinking, teamwork and learning achievement and (4) the feedback comprised the experts evaluation, the learners evaluation and result improvement and 2) the outcomes of the study follow by this; (1) the average score of posttest on creative thinking of the experimental group was higher than the control group statistically significant at the level of .05 (2) the average score of posttest on teamwork of the experimental group was higher than the control group statistically significant at the level of .05 and (3) the average score on learning achievement of the experimental group was higher than the control group statistically significant at the level of .05.
