การศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันและความต้องการทำงานวิจัยของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนวิชาการในมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันและความต้องการทำวิจัยของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนวิชาการในมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ ในปีการศึกษา 2557 โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บข้อมูลโดยมีผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามจำนวน 314 คน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าร้อยละ ค่าความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One-Way ANOVA) และวิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างรายคู่ด้วยวิธี Scheffe ผลการวิจัยพบว่าบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนวิชาการที่เคยทำงานวิจัยร้อยละ 23.57 หรือจำนวน 74 คน และไม่เคยทำงานวิจัยถึงร้อยละ 76.43 หรือจำนวน 240 คน บุคลากรสายสนับสนุนวิชาการมีความต้องการทำงานวิจัยร้อยละ 75.16 หรือ จำนวน 236 คน โดยมีสาเหตุที่สำคัญสาม ประการแรก คือ เพื่อใช้เป็นผลงานประกอบการขอกำหนดตำแหน่งให้สูงขึ้น  ใช้แก้ปัญหาและพัฒนางานในหน้าที่ และมีความสนใจใคร่รู้ และไม่ต้องการทำงานวิจัยร้อยละ 24.84 หรือ จำนวน 78 คน โดยมีสาเหตุ คือ ไม่มีเวลาขาดความรู้และประสบการณ์ ไม่ใช่งานในหน้าที่ และไม่ชอบทำงานวิจัย สภาพการทำวิจัยปัจจุบันความรู้ของกระบวนการทำงานวิจัย ประสบการณ์หรือทักษะการทำงานวิจัย และนโยบายการส่งเสริมงานวิจัยของหน่วยงานอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง สำหรับเรื่องความต้องการทำงานวิจัยในอนาคตบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนวิชาการมีความต้องการทำงานวิจัยอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยที่ความต้องการที่ให้หน่วยงานมีนโยบายส่งเสริมให้บุคลากรสายสนับสนุนวิชาการทำงานวิจัยอยู่ในระดับมาก และบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนวิชาการที่มีสถานภาพ และระดับการศึกษาที่ต่างกันมีความต้องการทำงานวิจัยแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05

The Current State of Conducting Research and Needs of the Academic Support Staff at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok

This research aims to study current state of conducting research and needs of the academic support staff at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok in the academic year of 2557 B.C.  The questionnaire was employed to collect data and there were 314 respondents. The statistics used in data analysis were average means, standard deviation, percentage, One-Way ANOVA and Scheffe’s method. The result states that there are 74 academic support staff, about 23.57 per cent who have experienced research conducting and there are 240 academic support staff, about 76.43 per cent who have never conducted research. Additionally, there are 236 academic support staff, about 75.16 per cent who would like to conduct research due to the three main reasons; to use as the criteria to apply for higher academic title, to solve problems and develop responsibilities and to fulfill their interests. However, there are 78 staff, about 24.84 per cent who have not considered about conducting research because of time constraint, lack of knowledge, experience, and interest, including showing no preference in conducting research. In terms of current research state such as research conducting process, experience or research conducting skill and support policy in conducting research of the organization, it has been rated in moderate level. The interest in conducting research in the future of the academic support staff is rated in high level with the high level of the demand for the organization to have support policy. The statistical significance level between status and educational qualification of the academic support staff that show interest in conducting research is at 0.05.
